We made it to Lander, WY yesterday. It took a bit longer than expected -- 4 hours instead of 2. Can't complain too much about driving through the mountains of Wyoming. The scenery is breathtaking and the cars few and far between. We saw lots of prong-horned deer (or antelope) and some prairie dogs. This morning we head for our first main destination -- Louis Lake. On our way, we'll stop at South Pass and visit an old deserted mining town. I hope to send some photos. After that, we'll go 10 miles off-road to get to Louis Lake. This is in the Wind River Mountain Range. We'll be staying in a log cabin on Louis Lake without electricity for 3 nights. The cabin is heated and has a hot shower but not much else. Dave promises that the scenery will make up for the lack of electricity. We'll hike, canoe and horse-back ride while there. I should have lots of photos to post once I get cell phone service back. It's questionable during our stay there -- okay, VERY unlikely. So, I'll try to post some photos this afternoon and then we may be offline a couple of days ...
